Sport and Beyond (S&B) is proud to announce a new strand to their partnership with The Dame Kelly Holmes Trust (the Trust)

Sport and Beyond will become the official training partner on the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust’s Talent Development Academy.

S&B, a growing training and consulting company, supports clients by driving the performance of their people. With a focus on attitudes, behaviours and skills, the programmes that Sport and Beyond deliver help organisations to get the best out of their most important asset, their people. Sport and Beyond support clients from the corporate, education and sport sectors.

Dame Kelly MBE became the first British female athlete to win both the 800m and 1500m at the Olympic Games, securing her place in history. She finished her illustrious career with twelve major championship medals from the Olympics, Worlds, Europeans and Commonwealth Games.

Dame Kelly founded the Trust on the eve of the Beijing 2008 Olympics, with a vision to get young lives on track by using the unique skills of world-class athletes to engage, enable and empower. The Trust has become one of the leading charities in its field and its athletes accelerate and amplify five key attitudes in the young people they work with: focus; resilience; motivation; confidence; and determination.

In its drive for continuous improvement, and its aim to provide a World Class training and development experience for its staff, the Trust has set up the Talent Development Academy. The Academy will drive the leadership and management potential of staff, and will be open to all.

Claire Bennett, Athlete Manager at the Trust and responsible for driving this programme forward, said: “We are very excited to be working with Sport and Beyond on our new Talent Development Academy. We aim to provide a world class experience for our staff, to support and drive both their development and the important work we do at the Trust.” Emma Atkins, CEO at the Trust said: “Catherine and her team truly understand our goals and vision, and I am delighted that our partnership is continuing to strengthen.”

Catherine Baker, founder of S&B said: “This is a really exciting time for Sport and Beyond and we are looking forward to working more closely with the amazing staff at the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust. The Trust’s work is so important, reaching as it does over 300,000 young people (aged 14- 25) from diverse backgrounds and supporting over 400 athletes. For us it is a privilege to extend our support beyond the athletes to the Trust staff team.”
